International Conference: The Water Framework Directive  - Emerging Water Management Challenges
World Trade Centre, Lille, France

This conference will explore crucially important issues which have developed since the Water Framework Directive came into force in 2000. The aim of this conference is to provide an opportunity to share experiences, to gain feedback on innovative practical solutions and to address key topics about the operational implementation of the WFD.

After having identified 16 specific focus countries and regions, German Water Partnership today held it's first meeting of the leaders and deputy leaders of each newly founded Country Forum. The focus countries are Vietnam, Turkey, Maghreb states, Iran, Gulf states, Jordan, India, China, Central Asia, Mexico, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Russia and Ukraine. The working groups on each country will be launched with first meetings this autumn. More soon..
