Selection of 15 focus countries and establishment of regional sections

In early autumn 2009, GWP has broadened the field of activity for its members. 15 country or region-related working groups were founded following an internal poll in which members had expressed their geographical interests.

Prior to this, the 15 focus countries and regions of GWP had already been identified in communication and accord with GWP’s five federal partner ministries. Those are:

Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Gulf States, Iran, Jordan, India, China, Central Asia, Mexico and an African country which is still to be identified. Turkey, Vietnam and the Maghreb region were chosen to obtain an extra focus status.

We will provide detailed information on each country forum on this site shortly, providing country-specific competencies and contacts of companies and organisations of GWP active in the target regions.
